What is good sound? Answer: Just a single word can be inserted here. Work with Stages’ microphone and sound equipment to produce results that answer that question. We’ll cover wireless things, live sound and other topics that deserve good defining.

If you have any questions, please contact Production Manager Lisa Shearer by email or call 585-935-7173 (leave a message and someone will return your call).

Grease School Version Assistantships

Grease School Version - 2023 - A Magical Journey Thru Stage

Interested in gaining practical experience in directing, choreography, music direction, costume design, lighting design, sound design, or even non-profit administration? Stages offers students the opportunity to apply their skills and build their resumes assisting with Grease School Version!

Assistantship Positions vary in their time commitment requirement for this show. We understand many families have busy lives. The success of this show depends on team players making the time commitment a priority.

  • Student Assistant Directors, Choreographers and Music Directors will be needed throughout the rehearsal process. Schedule will be coordinated together with the artistic team and production manager.
  • Student Assistant Lighting & Sound Designers and Assistant Stage Managers will likely be needed on various dates in the weeks leading up to tech in addition to tech week and shows. Those dates will be coordinated with the tech director.
  • Crew will be needed throughout tech week and shows.

THE SHOW:
Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through. An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.

Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey

THE SHOW:
The epic struggle between good and evil comes to life on stage in the musical phenomenon, Jekyll & Hyde. Based on the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson and featuring a thrilling score of pop rock hits from multi-Grammy- and Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn and double-Oscar- and Grammy-winning Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde has mesmerized audiences the world over.

An evocative tale of two men – one, a doctor, passionate and romantic; the other, a terrifying madman – and two women – one, beautiful and trusting; the other, beautiful and trusting only herself– both women in love with the same man and both unaware of his dark secret. A devoted man of science, Dr. Henry Jekyll is driven to find a chemical breakthrough that can solve some of mankind's most challenging medical dilemmas. Rebuffed by the powers that be, he decides to make himself the subject of his own experimental treatments, accidentally unleashing his inner demons along with the man that the world would come to know as Mr. Hyde.
